In 2026, Museum Collectie Brands will celebrate its fifteenth anniversary. We will be celebrating this throughout the year, culminating in the anniversary exhibition Everyone Collects.
Collecting is something we all do — big or small, everyday or extraordinary. This exhibition focuses not only on the objects themselves, but above all on the people behind them and their stories.
From First Aid to home stoups, from illustrator Rien Poortvliet to paintings of The Hague School: Everyone Collects shows how diverse and personal collecting can be. In two consecutive presentations, we will show a selection of special collections from private individuals, each with their own background, motivation and passion.
The exhibition is a tribute to collector and museum founder Jans Brands and to all collectors who preserve the past with attention, love and curiosity.
Be surprised, recognise yourself, and discover how collecting connects people. Round 1 of Everyone Collects can be seen from 7 February to 16 August. 2026 Round 2 can be seen from 5 September 2026 to 17 January 2027.
